Just so ya know, I haven't forgotten about you. The sketchbook has been traveling with me. I need to reference some shots from the book, but I'm nearly thru your list and a goodly way thru the sketchbook. They're not all masterpieces, but it will hopefully give you lots of choices for interior art.

CONGRATS ON THE ARTICLE!!! That's so cool!!!
I want to commission you again!!! I just need to know what it is I flippin' want! I got so many Ideas and not enough money. I'd like to do a super-realistic black pegasus or "NightMare" project... supply you with real hooves, real horses mane and tail hair (dunno how you'd attach it though...) and feathery wings that fade to bat-wings at the bottom.
Or I would like to do an angelic pronghorn antelope....
Do you excell at horselike creatures?

LOL! Not reale HORSE hooves... but deer dewtoes (they are like horse hooves... but the size of a quarter)
We be talking plush if it's possible. I could go either way with the winged horse or winged pronghorn... Which would be your favourite to work with? And what would the cost be for Say... about as big as my phoenix is or slightly bigger? (If the price is good and you feel up to it, I'd like tog et them both done)

Hmmm. Prices are always so hard to set for new patterns. Alas, A horse is more complecated that a phoenix, but you are providing some materials...I'm sorry, I'm rambling...
Ok, if I use a variation on my dragon, with the legs being put on the same way, I can do them for $60 each. If you would like a more streamlined look-ie-the legs as an integrated part of the plush, not sewed on like the dragons, I'll need to make up a new pattern completely, so $85.
Another option would be to take an existing horse and do rude things to it in the name of art. You'd be a bit restricted to the plush I can get ahold of, but that would run $35 to $45 depending on the plush I can find.
Let me know your thoughts on these ideas!
ps- I'm still trying to find ebony that won't cost an arm and a leg...

And yes! It'll have those awesome feathery wings, but I was wondering (and if you feel inclined to try something new) if you can make the feathery wings look like they're fading into bat wings. Kinda like my beastie: [link]
I don't know how'd you go about doing that... I assume it'd have a bat-wing frame, and cover the top with feathers.
Sitting seems to be my most favourit pose... like [link] or [link]
I don't know if you could do that... but that's what to aim for. If you can't no hard feelings.. I assume plush making is much harder than taxidermy... I work with 3-D skins and you work with 2-D slabs of fabric. It's harder to get some sort of wanted appearance out of fabric in my opinion.
The last digit of the foot (what would be the ankle?) Won't need to look uber realistic. And you can just cover that in wispy fluff (make it look like clydesdale 'horsefeathers'
The head would be tough... I can check around the local thrift shops for a plush horse with a head shape I like (the one in that second link of poses I like).
Or you can make one up! Nothing wring with improvision!
(ebony is expensive! I saw it once at the woodcrafter's shop here and when I went back, they don't have it... but from what I remember it was at a rediculously high price!!)
